Made in the USA

After several days of shopping for gifts made in the USA I have only one question -- do we even sell anything here that isn't made in China?? Okay, there are a few things made in India, but check your tags the next time you are out. I'm not kidding.

  1. Yes - shopping for gifts was the worst! The females love brand name cosmetics too like those little gift bags from Clinique, etc. I tried to frequent the local artist stores to find unique, handmade stuff. I love your little angels. You should have Larissa translate a short note to photocopy and include that explains the meaning of the cotton. And candies from Georgia would be a great addition too (do they sell peach candies?). I'm so excited for you that you are in the final stages of preparation! Fortunately once you get on the plane, all the packing stress will melt away and be replaced by sweet anticipation!

  3. Something that was a big hit was beef jerky. They don't have anything like that in Kazakhstan. We were not even planning on giving any away but Keith had brought so much he was never going to finish it all. So we gave it to them and it was a huge hit. We had to explain to them what it was.

Also when you are over in Kazakhstan you can use hotspot shield which will allow you to get around the firewall that blocks sites like blogger and many other sites. Just go to hotspotshield.com and download it and every time you want to use the internet just log on to it and you can get to all blocked sites.
